Cool that you would like to know more about us, the people behind Song With Name!
We are Michel & Mariëlle (husband & wife) and together we have 2 boys (Elliot ’13 & Miller ’17). Elliot had a hard time falling asleep ever since he was born. Somewhere along the way we decided to write him a lullaby to help him fall asleep. We received so many nice comments about the song that we ended up starting a company in personalized songs! This journey started slowly in 2015 in the Netherlands with Liedje Met Naam.nl. In the spring of 2018 we added a personalized birthday song with name in Dutch. We are working to transform this one into a unique and cool English birthday song in the near future.
Music has always been a big part of our lives. Mariëlle has a soft spot for old jazz music, karaoke and harmonies and Michel can’t seem to stop playing power chords on his guitar when listening to Queen or Triggerfinger.
We also share a great and rather courageous dream of moving to Canada. We have been there for a few times and fell in love with BC (Hello Vancouverites ;)), so we will probably show you lots of pictures on various Canadian spots if you follow us on Instagram!
